Elizabeth has been coaching actors and directing for over 10 years. She began her career teaching and directing with The Attic Theatre Ensemble in Los Angeles. Elizabeth taught the ensemble scene study class, produced and directed several actor showcases and directed her first play, the world premiere of My Time. After a successful run at the Attic, My Time was produced for the Passion Plays Festival in New York City in 1990 at the INTAR Theatre.
As a director, Elizabeth has enjoyed success on both coasts. Some of her favorite experiences include the premiere of First Kiss at the Source Theatre (as part of SourceFest), Crimes of the Heart at the Studio Theatre, Boy, Girl, Boy, Girl for The Coop Theatre Company and EdgeFest 2001, Norma for Ensemble Studio Theatre and Rachel’s War for Pacific Resident Theatre. Additionally, she has produced several plays, worked as a casting director, and co-founded two theatre companies – Way Out West and Second Generation Theatre.
With a foundation as a classically trained actress and director, a diverse background that includes marketing and advertising, and a passion for teaching, Elizabeth helps her students to reach their full potential as artists and also achieve their desired career goals. Her method has been called “the right path to true success”. At the center of Elizabeth’s technique is a belief that that every performer has unique strengths and talents and by using a powerful synthesis of those strengths and talents, traditional acting techniques and empowered reality creation, students can define and create their own success.
In addition to workshops held throughout the year, Elizabeth coaches actors privately in the Los Angeles area and via phone conferencing all over the world. Although her complete client list remains private, those that have worked with her have enthusiastically said:
